I made a mistake the first time around of shopping by price. The trade off on my first 10g NIC was the random and occasional disconnects. This one performs flawlessly and has much better network throughput. If I needed another one I would buy it again. It did not work out of the box in my wi does 11 machine but after installing the included (I know right?) drivers it immediately was recognized and work fine. I started with computers in the late 80’s so the concept of installing a driver is no big deal for me.
